Professional Experience
Ms. Sheinfeld is the Director of Corporate Sustainability for Healthy Buildings Sustainability Group. Gwen is a city planner with extensive knowledge of sustainability as it relates to existing buildings within the commercial, institutional, and residential building sectors. Gwen has more than 10 years of experience in the sustainability field, including corporate sustainability, green building, education, city planning, and multifamily buildings. Gwen is skilled at developing corporate sustainability programs including plan development, implementation, and reporting; conducting LEED EBOM certifications; evaluating existing buildings for efficiency upgrades; and conducting training programs. Her current work projects include developing corporate sustainability programs for a large Las Vegas casino and resort, a manufacturing firm, a large financial institution, and a facilities management company.
Prior to joining Healthy Buildings, Ms. Sheinfeld worked as the manager of sustainability strategies for a commercial real estate firm where she developed policies and programs to integrated sustainability into the company’s existing service offerings. In addition, she coordinated the company’s LEED EBOM Portfolio Program which resulted in certification of 18 properties. Gwen also worked at another sustainability consulting firm during which time she developed the company’s corporate sustainability program and conducted multifamily buildings audits. Additionally, Ms. Sheinfeld is a seasoned city planner and has conducted numerous City Environment Quality (CEQR) reviews.
