LEED EBOM Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance

Healthy Buildings’ Approach to LEED EBOM Certification

Healthy Buildings takes a specialized approach for every LEED EBOM project in order to achieve the most cost effective path to certification. Customized programs are also designed to meet our client’s goals.

Phase 1: Feasibility Study

We conduct an online survey and a building walk through to determine the viability of building certification. Building information is compiled into a Prerequisite Study and a Preliminary Scorecard.

Phase 2: Assessment

Healthy Buildings will facilitate a Goal Setting session with the building’s LEED EBOM team to determine certification and sustainability goals. Additional data is collected on the building’s operations and maintenance practices. Certification cost estimates and probabilities for individual credit achievement are presented in the assessment report.

Phase 3: Implementation

Policies and Plans are implemented into daily operations early in this phase. Technical services such as ventilation testing for EQ P1, energy auditing, Retro-Commissioning, and indoor air quality services are conducted. Building performance is tracked during the performance period.

Phase 4: Certification

Healthy Buildings coordinates all information gathering and conducts the LEED Online process of uploading credit submittals and documentation requested through GBCI.
