Three Thomas Properties Group buildings in Philadelphia, PA have earned LEED® Silver from the U.S. Green Building Council – the three iconic skyline buildings of Philadelphia include One Commerce Square (2005 Market Street), Two Commerce Square (2001 Market Street), and 1835 Market Street. All have received LEED Silver certification to the LEED EBOM 2008 standard. LEED is the nation’s preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

Healthy Buildings facilitated the LEED certification process for the buildings by managing the LEED documentation required to become certified, educating the building staff on the LEED requirements and process, and providing services to meet and document difficult prerequisites, including Energy & Atmosphere prerequisite 1, Energy Efficiency, Best Management Practices and Indoor Environmental Quality prerequisite 1, Outdoor Air Introduction & Exhaust System. Healthy Buildings also performs annual Indoor Air Quality Proactive Inspections at the 1835 Market Street building.

Vornado/Charles E. Smith (VNO/CES), a division of Vornado Realty Trust, is the largest owner of properties in the Washington DC region. The foundation of its leadership position is a combination of superior portfolio size, exceptional capabilities, high caliber projects and management services, and financial strength. VNO/CES is also a leader in the area of environmental sustainability, having created a corporate culture that integrates the principles of environmental responsibility and sustainable growth into their business practices, planning, and relationships. VNO/CES has already incorporated many sustainable initiatives in its buildings and programs, including Healthy Buildings‚ proactive IAQ program in over (80) buildings totaling approximately 20 million square feet.

2101 L Street NW is a high visibility 350,000 square feet office building located in the heart of Washington D.C.’s downtown business district. Among its many prestigious tenants is the headquarters of the U.S. Green Buildings Council. Healthy Buildings administers its signature proactive indoor air quality monitoring program at 2101 L St. NW on an annual basis.
Healthy Buildings supports hospitals with proactive IAQ inspection programs designed to support facility compliance with Joint Commission Environment of Care requirements. Healthy Buildings has completed comprehensive inspections of over 100 hospital buildings in the past decade.

The U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) serves eight million Veterans though 153 hospitals throughout the United States. The DVA is responsible for providing quality, efficient and accessible health care to veterans in the largest health care system in the United States. In addition to its medical care mission, DVA is the nation’s largest provider of graduate medical education and a major contributor to medical and scientific research. DVA also provides emergency medical preparedness and disaster response.

Through our GSA Federal Supply Service Contract, Healthy Buildings has served over 7.2 million square feet of Veterans Administration hospital space in the past three years.

The Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center located in Loma Linda, CA comprises one 750,000 square foot hospital building and several smaller buildings on and off campus. In 1997, Healthy Buildings conducted a detailed duct inspection of the building as part of a major overhaul of the mechanical system. Since then, Healthy Buildings has conducted routine annual proactive indoor air quality inspections of this and many of the satellite buildings.
